We are for service
That’s the only reason we’re here
Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union was organized simply to offer quality, economical services to our members and their families. We strive to promote responsible money management (savings and the wise use of credit) to help improve the standard of living of our members. Our nine-member Board of Directors, as well as other volunteer committees, are unpaid credit union members who are serving on behalf of the entire membership. We are innovative and committed to providing our members with the best possible service and products available.
The mission of the Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union is:
- To provide affordable financial services to our members and their families in Southeast Missouri, and
- To promote community development in our low-to-moderate income area, and
- To encourage thrift, savings and the wise use of credit for the individuals and small businesses in the targeted areas.
To see if you are eligible for membership, check the list below. For more information, see How to Join.
Who We Are
We are a federally-chartered credit union serving residents of southeast Missouri since 1952. As our logo suggests, we are an experienced and trusted pillar of financial strength in the community.
We are a not-for-profit cooperative organization, which makes us unique in the financial community. We are owned by our members (8,700 strong) and our profits are returned to them in the form of higher dividend rates on savings deposits and lower interest rates on loans, plus low or no cost fees on services! We are a definite ALTERNATIVE to banks.
